    Default Just got certified

I just got my NASM Personal Trainer certification. I took the course because I spent the last 18 months getting into shape and now I want to help others do the same. I am 58 years old and want to work with others in my age group who might be intimidated by a younger trainer. I am an avid cyclist and skiier. I want to use my life long experience of struggling with my weight to motivate others to become as healthy as I am now.

Hi there and welcome. Congrats on the career change! I was enrolled in a fitness instruction program a few years ago at UCLA. Several of my classmates were in their 50s and 60s and they wanted to do the same thing as you. With the number of baby boomers I think this is a great choice on your part.

Best of luck! Let us know if you have any questions.

I know I'm not Christina but I wanted to stop by and commend you on your success! I can imagine that it wasn't easy implementing a change of lifestyle and career change! I know that you will be very successful in what you do! It takes some trainers years to find their niche and look at you.... already got yours!
