Hi there,

Wow! Had I known this site was available before I started my research, I think I would have come to a decision about my certification much earlier. Super impressed by everyone taking the time out to offer help, tips and general advice. It's hard to get a handle on the "real deal" in this industry, it seems.

Anyway, I've created a ACE / ACSM certification comparison chart and am leaning toward a CPT certification through ACSM. I am not a professional in the fitness industry but have consistently spent the last 10 years or so focusing on my own fitness journey. Whether it's through my own injuries, attending good classes with fantastic teachers or just reading about fitness / nutrition in my leisure time, I think I could handle the rigorous ACSM CPT course.

My ultimate goal is to become a wellness coach / consultant, so having a solid foundation is paramount. I know that you have to make the most out of your education, but as long as I have the time (not full-time employed right now) I want to make the best investment in acquiring as much knowledge as I can.

Any advice would be most helpful. Thanks!
