Well, Hello!
I have been researching info on becoming a certified trainer and have stumbled onto a nice place. Now I begin my intro...
I am 27, recently seperated from the Air Force after nine years as a Pneudraulics Craftsman. I seperated to go to college. While I was in the Air Force I was also PTL (Physical Training Leader) and because of the role I was fulfilling I also have my CPR/AED card. I completed an IRONMAN in Arizona in 2006 in 14 hours, and I have picked up the Marathon bug lately (Tacoma Marathon 2007). I am currently signed up for the Tacoma Marathon on the 10th of May, 2008. I have played soccer for the past 16 years. I was at a time a heavy lifter (240lbs 6'-2"), but found my way to reason and have focused on a balanced total body approach (now 205lbs). I have helped people on many occassions to build a workout program and tailored it to them. Many have said I should become a trainer, but I claimed I did not know enough. I understand that I will never know enough and that is the key in all aspects of life.
I have decided to go with the ACE personal trainer certification because it will get me in the door to many of the places I may want to go (I hope). It is good I have found a place to sound my ideas every once in a while. I hope I learn a great deal from this place and hope to give back as well.
Roddy...
