    Default Exam Content Description Booklet

Hello all. I have recently decided to study for the NSCA-CPT and am trying to decide what study materials to get first. Is the Content Description Booklet something that is helpful and/or necessary? I may go ahead and get the study kit, but should I break it up I want to know if I need it or not. Thanks in Advance!

The exam content booklet tells you the # of questions that deal with specific topics.

Not sure it's entirely needed, but it may be helpful if you'd rather not study stuff that isn't on the exam. (Or only has a question or two on the exam).

I'd recommend getting the Essentials of PT text, and several practice exams.

The Symposium CDs probably are not needed. (Unless you have a long commute to work and don't mind listening to the droning of the speaker while you drive).

Also visit the Anatomy and Kinesiology websites that Christina has listed under the Resources section!

    Good Luck!

Thanks a million! I guess it really doesn't cost that much and if it'll help with study direction, then that's a plus. Thanks for other recommendations, too. They were extremely helpful! :P
