Anyone wanna study with me?
Im studying for the NSCA CPT exam and hope to sit for it in about 8 weeks or so. I was wondering if there's anyone out there who'd like to be a virtual study partner? If so, let me know.
Best,
Jackson

Virtual Study Partner NSCA CPT
Hey Trackston!
I too am preparing to take the computer-based exam for the NSCA CPT. I am hoping to sit for the exam on November 15th (4 weeks). Im not sure how we could do a virtual study - perhaps through maybe yahoo messenger or something like that and talk through the material that way.
Ive had some of your same questions but as time has passed and Christina and Dave have helped its gotten easier. Im now focusing on the biomechanic & techniques of exercise section. Ive pretty much been over all the rest. I'd be willing to discuss it all with you though. The more I talk the more I realize I know, so any dialogue I think would help. And perhaps theres something you understand that I dont and vice/versa that we could give the other insight into.
If this sounds like something you'd like to do, give me a shout or send me an email.
Where are you located? If you've already said, sorry I missed it.
Best,
Jackson

Study techniques that have been helping me...
Ive sent you an email Trackston.
The technique that has worked for me with most of this information (the part that Im definite about) has been reading through each chapter, watching the lecture for that section and listening to the audio cd's. Then I talk about it with everyone who's willing to listen and realize I actually know what Im talking about and that it did stick.
I didnt think I was getting the program design section but this past weekend I have a friend who wanted to know her 1RM and so I went to the gym and helped her out based on what I read and I realized I had learned it well.
I think practice and lots of talk about the subject matter with someone who will listen helps tremendously.
Ive also found that some of the information in the book is worded in a way that Im like "what?" so I go online and type in the terms and learn it through simplified terminology and then I seem to get it instantaneously.
I think if we talk about this we'll find that we can help each other out. talking with someone who knows what youre talking about helps too because they can then say yeah or no, its like this or that...
Anyway, hope to hear from you.
Best,
Jackson
