I'm going to a marketing event, Ive paid for a stand an I intend to sell PT sessions and supplement packages.

I heard that the best way to generate interest at these events is to put on a display. For example the hair salons do styling demonstrations, massage therapists do demos........ etc
What demo could a PT do? Posture assessments? mini classes? any ideas anyone want something truly BRILLIANT to catch peoples attention.....

Hi Tom,

This is will be a great opportunity to get to know the people who not only attend, but who else is presenting their products and services. Do remember that a huge part of marketing is creating relationships!

Don't be surprised if most of the people there are primarily interested in selling you THEIR products/services. Learn what these people have to offer and what they enjoy about what they do. Have your audio logo ready and perfected.

Give-aways are always popular, but you also need something that will draw them to your booth/table. AND you want a way to collect contact information. Therefore, something that draws the eyes. Food always does it, but what always still creates a stir is the 5# display of fat. People LOVE that! However, expensive if you don't already have it..

Then, once you have them at the booth, a drawing for something they would like to have will encourage them to put their name/contact info in the bowl. It could be either a free session, which may not be as appealing as we'd like it to be, or something like a book. A book on fitness that's popular or a cookbook; something related to health, naturally.

Do NOT be disappointed if you don't get clients from this. Chances are slim you will. Instead, focus on meeting new people and introducing yourself around and starting the process of developing those relationships. THEN it's important to follow up with the people you met, especially the other professionals there. None of this will create instant clients, but it will pay off in the long-run.

Above it all, go into the marketing event with the intention of having fun and meeting new people, and then it will be a success for you.

Margie
