Hey Gang,

I've got the following equipment to start my in-home/office training business. Let me know if I am missing anything and why I should have it.

Pair of Power Blocks (Up to 45lbs)
Aerobic Step
12lbs Body Bar
24lbs Body Bar
Resistant Tubing
Resistant Bands
Heart Rate Monitor
14lbs Medicine Ball
Stability Ball
Calipers
Tape Measure
Stop Watch
Jump Rope

My target audience is females from 35 to 55 years of age.

Let me know what I'm forgetting.

Thanks,

Dave

Dave,

This list looks complete to me. I have the same portable equipment. I also have a few additional things such as dyna discs, a bosu ball, an ankle weight, etc. but these things are obviously not necessary.

We have spent the last few weeks in my resistance training fundamentals class talking about how unecessary (and sometimes ineffective) all of the "fitness toys" are. It looks like you have everything you need to give your clients a good workout.

When are you going to get started?

Christina
PS - Be sure to pick up one of those things you put in the door jam that allows your clients to do seated rows, etc. with the tubing.

I'm going to shoot for August 1st in getting my website revamped and business up and running.

I've got an ad going in a specialty publication from my newspaper that will be distributed on July 29th to my target market (Females between 35 and 55).

Hopefully, I'll get a client or two from those things.

I'll still be managing my corporate fitness center full-time, and personal training only part time until I can raise enough to make a clean break.

I wish I could do it full time now. Sad

Hey Joe,

I just added a first aid kit to my PT bag! . Which , by the way, if you're looking for a bag that has wheels and fits a lot of equipment this is the bag for you!

http://www.luggage.com/Samsonite-Golf-685-SAM1002.html

I've got an aerobic step, risers, 2 body bars, my 45lbs power blocks, resistance tubing, an exercise mat, and first aid kit in the large part of the bag. And there are 2 addition bags that can fit calipers, tape measures, clip boards, workout files, etc.

It has WHEELS! and is very well made. (Well it seems very well made, I haven't had it for years and years so only time will tell).

Check it out guys!

Dave

I've been looking on different websites and found that Nordictrack has some clearances. I did'nt know if anyone had any strength training equipment for their in home gym.
I was looking at the Nordictrack E500 Strength System. It looks very nice and I was wondering if anyone has that or something similiar to that. I am considering purchasing it.

Dave,I have been doing in home training for 5yrs . I started lugging a bowflex power pro. Aftter some time i found body lastics. This and a jump rope are all i use in home or office. This all weighs about 5 lbs and covers all the angles.
Hope this helps
