Hi rbd and welcome to the forum. Are you certified through this organization? I recently moved to an area where parents would be willing to hire a trainer for their kids and I am interested in learning more. Please share your thoughts on IYCA.

THANKS!

Christina,

Yes I am actually in the process of getting my level 2 cert through the IYCA. Great board of directors, with the whole focus on working with kids. I actually think they may be in the process of working on a fitness cert for kids. Brian Grasso is the real deal and you will not find a more passionate individual in regards to working with youth. Check out the IYCA.org website or Brian's site developingathletics.com.

I hope this helps

I checked out the IYCA website. It seems like a CSCS cert for training youth. Is this an accurate description? I am going to find out if they are working on the fitness certification you were mentioning. I think I may have heard about this organization from someone on the NSCA forum.

Thanks for the great resources you have brought to this site.
