Newbie needs certification advice - boot camp instructor
Hi All:
I need some advice/direction.
I have been involved in athletics all my life. I was/am an average athletic with more heart then natural skill.
After graduating college and running two businesses (present) I've gotten to a point in my life where I need something else outside of work.
On and off I have stayed physical either playing soccer, running, boot camps, cycling, etc. The activities changed as the years went on but I was still trying to keep in shape.
Recently my friend and I created our own weight loss challenge which we have been very successful at and both recently accomplished are goals and are in containment mode.
So....here is my question.
I currently belong to a boxing style gym and started my own boot camp class which has taken off very well. I have no certifications and am looking to get something under my belt in the group exercise area. I'm doing this to be safe and to educate myself so I can teach a better class among other things.
This will not be a career change (for now!) and I really want to get my feet wet with I'll call it an entry level certification. I've looked at NASM and ACE and they both seem to cost roughly the same money.
Any opinions on what patch I should take?
