Default Has anyone heard of US Career Institute?

I just started a home study course for personal trainer and nutrition specialist through US Career Institute. The course material is easy to understand and seems pretty comprehensive. The final exam includes assessing various clients fitness needs. Has anyone else here heard or taken this course?

Hi David and welcome. I have not heard of this. I am not sure where you plan to work but don't expect your potential employer to hire you for completing this home study course. Most gyms/health clubs require nationally recognized certifications.

    Good luck to you!

    Default yes i know

thx christina for your reply. However I do realize i need to have certifications that are nationally recognized. this program allows me an extensive study in the area of personal trainer and nutritional specialist and I do feel I will be equipped to pass the certifiicate exams once I complete this course. By the way, US career institute is nationally recognized by the us department of education and accredited by the distance education learning.
I probably will go for the ACE cerification first and then pursue more prestigous certificates. Although, I do know of trainers who have good certificates and some even have degrees, yet they still lack the knowledge takes to succeed in this field. ALso there seems to be alot of them out there on the web that all they really want is to sell you something.
