I went to Denver for sales training. It wasn't a whole lot of fun because we didn't have any down time. I learned some things with how to communicate with customers which I think will transfer to connecting with clients. It was good training.
Hey Jarrell, that's great! You are going to love Resources for the Personal Trainer. The book really focuses on the personal trainer's role as a teacher. You'll see what I mean. You are going to do great on the exam!
Going anywhere exciting for your job (that you will be leaving soon)?![]()

Hi Jarrell,
Definitely start learning now how to listen to what your clients want AND how to help them achieve their goals! This will be key to your success, no matter what direction your career takes you.
Although traditional sales focuses on how to 'get the sale', if you start learning about 'marketing' you will be ahead of the game.
Just consider this: Every single potential client you come into contact with is thinking: "What's in it for me?" So, if you can always focus on what you can do for them, and LISTEN to what they tell you (verbally or not), you'll have it.
