Default best certification for beginning personal training

I have a bachelor in business but was recently laid off and want to begin my career in personal training. I was wondering what would be the best certificate to get that would ensure me a job. I have friends who got some certifications and they were told they needed to get something else to land a job. I have heard ACE is the way to go for someone like me just starting out. Any feedback would be extremely helpful.

    Default

National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).

I took the NSCA CPT and crossfit cert level 1 as my first 2 certifications.

I have found while certifications look nice on a business card, once your in the door your best way to educate yourself is personaly. There are several great websites that I visit daily as well as somw great books, If you need any suggestions feel free to PM me.

Default Best qualifications for work as personal trainers

We are finding that Personal trainers seeking roles with LA Fitness, DW Sports or Fitness First are all required to have REPS level 3 (register of Excercise Profesionals) or the equivalent at the national standard.

Have a look at the blackbook sports website for more info
