Passed my exam...
I passed my certification exam for the NETA Personal Trainer.
Questions for anyone out there would be, what steps did you take after you passed the exam??
I thought about actually going to a personal trainer for sessions to go thru the experience on the other end as the first step..
Any thoughts would would be appreciative!
Thanks

Congratulations!
Steps I took after I passed my exam was to network, look for jobs to gain experience and continue with my education. Luckily I had a couple of people who were interested in working with me at their homes, so I started to get experience right away.
Networking is a great way to talk to different trainers who do different things (manage clubs, work with all types of clients, in home train, gym train etc.) and if you get a job, chances are there would be someone there that could guide you and answer questions along the way.
Joe Cannon, a frequent contributor on this forum, offers his services to trainers looking to get experience. He makes himself available via phone and email for consultations, questions and advice on how to go about getting good experience. I've spoken with him and emailed with him a couple of times and he's a great guy.
He also publishes a newsletter and couple of blogs that you can sign up for. He approaches training from a very common sense perspective and I like that.
Congratulations again and good luck!
