Nasm training
1. How long is each training session with nasm, 1 hour or 30 minutes? If it is 1 hour, how do you guys usually break it down to 30 minutes?
2. How much time do you stick to one phase before you move on to the next phase?
3. Are there clients that just want to stay in one phase forever for all 12 weeks? What do you do with those people
4. what happens after 12 weeks of the program?

Most gyms in the US have training sessions for about 30 minutes (or 30-45). the main reason for this is that research shows that if you keep a beginner in the gym longer than1 hour, there is a greater rate of dropping out (quitting the gym and stopping training)
another reason why gyms do 30 min sessions is that it makes the trainer think they are making more money (the GM may say we pay $14/hour - but that's based on doing TWO training sessions in an hour. do only 1 and you only made $7)
The idea of how long to stay in a phase actually gets into periodization. In periodization the time we stay in each phase is dependent on how fast the person is adapting to the exercise prescription. While we often say 1-2 months that's not always the case. Periodization is "fluid" rather than rigid. the persons age, nutrition status, health and frequency of training sessions per week will all factor into how long to stick to a program.

for obese people do you really want them to sit on the stability ball or stand on 1 leg, how does that work? and also, do you want most stability exercises to be on the ball etc, there doesn't seem to be enough exercises to work with in the stability phase
