Equipment
I am on the edge of launching my on site personal training business. My equipment is going to start out as steps, stability ball, mat, jump ropes, tubing, bands and adjustable dumbells. I would be interested in hearing from others what equipment they started out with or suggestions for my equipment list.

Hi,
That seems like a good place to start. I'm a little bit ahead of you -- I just purchased many of those items. I also purchased a medicine ball. I'm thinking of investing in a Bosu balance trainer as well.
And FYI -- don't buy your stuff at Dick's Sporting Goods. I found their stuff to be of inferior quality.

OK
Thanks for the tip Dinah. I was actually thinkg Amazon. I am a bit of an addict for them.

Oh yes, I forgot -- I bought some stuff on Amazon -- very good quality boxing gloves and mitts!
Good luck with everything -- I'd love to hear how it's going.

When I had my business training clients at their home/workplace I always had a small First Aid Kit in on me. Door anchors for the tubing and bands are also very helpful. Finally a set of suspension straps that can be anchored in a door are great.
Not sure what your business model is, but I would also sell the equipment to clients for use when I was not on site. I had a "demo" set of everything for use during the session and would bring along a matching set of everything to sell.
Good luck with the new business!
