Default I just passed my test, now what?

I'm 22 years old, recently graduated school and i just passed my ACSM Personal Fitness trainer test. What should i do now? What sort of goals should i strive for in order to get into the business? Any and all ideas would be great, i'm very excited to have this certification and can't wait to start training.

    Thanks,
    Caleb

Hi Caleb and congratulations! What are your plans? Are you planning on working in a gym?

First and foremost, thank you, pretty excited to receive my cert. I really want to work in a gym! I was just unsure about how to go about it? what would be the best way to get myself (relatively unexperienced) into a gym? Should i start recruiting clients? Are there any good techniques i could implement to sell myself better?

The ACSM cert will probably open doors for you since it is a reputable certification. If I were you I would just go the gym where you want to work and talk to them. Have you tried this?

I think its good to start out in a gym if your new. its a good way to learn how to use a variety of equipment and also see how others train their clients. its also a good place to interact with many different people and personalities. this will help you immensely since personal training is as much of a people business as a fitness business. If you do work in a gym, try to seek out the "best" trainer and see if they will let you follow them around for a week or so so you can see how they interact with their clients. Success leaves clues so this might help you as you get clients.

Here is a blog I posted a few months ago which may also help you
