    Default Bootcamps?

I have worked in a gym for a couple of months, I just got my NASM certification last weekend. And I am planning to go off on my own with my personal training, everyone keeps telling me running some bootcamps would be a good way to get my business going, however I have never done one myself so I wouldn't know where to begin...any tips, advice, etc?

    Default BootCamps

Start by taking in a few clients free.I would say 5-20 so you learn to run a class. Tell them you will give them free camp for as long as you choose with the condition that they get you refferals( paying clients) later on.

Even if you are just starting your training biz on your own. Train a few people FREE! I started by training 4 people for free. Now I have 1 one 1 clients and a bootcamp. I am booked. All from helping those 4 people.

Make sure to get testimonials and tons of Before after pics.

    GOOD LUCK!

This is good advice - anyone that wants to ramp up their learning curve time WITHOUT working for someone else should do this -

To find clients to train for free, you can just use CRAIGSLIST -

Before you start your own bootcamp, I would take several classes and see how they do things. maybe go work for a bootcamp company and learn their way before you do your own thing. Its hard to monitor 10 or more people if you are the only person doing the class. they all have different fitness levels and different heath issues. its very different than one-on-one training. This makes bootcamps potentially dangerous for the trainer who is not used to how to run them safely and effectively.

A trainer I know who teaches people how to run bootcamps is Georgette Pann. here are her sites
