Default Thinking about PT'ing part time

Have been considering getting certified for a while and trying to build a part-time sideline. I have a full time job that keeps me out of town every other week. Week on/week off, in other words. Is it feasible that I could build up a clientele who would be willing to work with me on an every-other-week basis? Or would I just be wasting my time and money getting certified? I appreciate anyone's thoughts on this...B.

Hi and welcome! In my experience people who only train with me one day a week do not make progress. If people trained with you every other week they would need to be extremely disciplined. Another thought is you could do training online through software such as Hyperstrike. You would also need to probably be in touch with them either by phone or email to ensure they are reaching their goals. Honestly, it is going to take some real dedicated clients. I have yet to find someone who is this dedicated. Another thought, and it goes along the same lines, is to tell clients that for a flat monthly fee you will come to their home one time to show them the exercises and return the following month with a new set of exercises. Again, you could stay in touch either by phone or email.

Just some thoughts. I have no doubt you would enjoy training, but it's finding people who fit into such unique parameters is the problem. Good luck!
