    Default Tendinitis!

I have a woman (23 years old) that has tendinits at her bicep. I know I should take it slow with her, light resistance and all, but anyone have any other recommendations? I had her curling with 5lbs wts the other day and she was fine while she was doing them, but 2 days later she couldn't extend her arm. She's better now. But I just thought if anyone has any thoughts, I'd like to hear them. Thanks!

Did she get the OK to exercise from her Doctor of Physical therapist?

everything I've read says to rest the area until healed.

If she's adamant about continuing her training, I'd try to work around the area. (I.E. No More curls) And make sure she Stretches and Ices the area after each workout.

I'd definately rest that one until healed as dave said work around the area- tendi will never heal properly unless subject to proper rest to let the inflammation subside. The bicep tendon is particularly tricky and can take longer to heal.
