You can of course find them at the Perform Better website - performbetter.com - although their may be better deals elsewhere on the web -

Do you know what to do with them? I interviewed the top Kettlebell guy in the world, Steve Cotter, for my blog - here's the audio:

It helped me bring kettlebells into what I do, although I still need more training -

I'd say that was in dispute over who was the 'top' kettlebell guy in the world - personally i'd say it was Pavel Tsatsouline.

Pavel is the Eastern block king...Cotter is the Western champ. Either guy is exceptional at what he does.

I agree on that one both are exceptional. I think I always favour Pavel as it was his inspiration that got me into kettlebells in the first place- your first love is always special I guess!

    Hey Kettlebell King -
Here's what someone on another forum told me about kettle-bells - I'm looking to get some training in this area and was considering Steve Cotter's certification:

"I'm not sure how familiar you are with kettlebells. There are two basic schools, GS and Hard Style. Hard Style was founded by Pavel Tsatsouline, and GS is the Russian sport of kettlebell lifting, focused on 10 minute sets of clean and jerk, and snatches.
I went into tboth styles with an open mind, and came out with the beleif that they are equally effective for their own purposes, but GS isn't the best for trainers. Hard style offers way more variety and it's much easier to get people interested in it. I'm proficient in both styles, and go back and forth, but I keep all my clients in hard style because they don't give a crap about snatching a kettlebell for 10 minutes straight, nor do they want to. That's where GS and the American Kettlebell Club have missed the boat in my opinion."

    What's your opinion on this?

Steve cotter would be a good choice- his functional use of kettlebells is excellent for sports and martial arts. I think Pavel has bought the art of kettlebell lifting to the west and in some ways has made it more accessible to the western mind- he does advocate the 10- 12 min snatch test though and still regards this as the I think he puts it the Tzar of all kettlebell lifts.I like to do the snatch test once per week - I find it pushes my conditioning up each week for Bjj - I make some of my clients do it too if they are in combat sports as it does push your endurance levels to the limit and in a space of time that is equivilant to the longest round time. Although they may not want to do it sometimes thats not the point- not all training can be varied and interesting and for the athlete it often is not!
It is interesting as apparently pre communist russia lifts were based around heavy grinds (lifts) rather than using a smaller pood but during communism the emphasis was shifted to endurance rather than strength and power.
If I was you I'd have a look at some of the steve cotter instructional videos and have a read of some of pavel's books and some of his instructional videos to see who you think will fit in best with your style of training.
