Default How much can I expect to earn?

I'm intending to be ACSM CPT by June of next year. I'm hoping to be moving to somewhere near the San Francisco/ Sacramento area. I was wondering how much I can expect to make if I were to work at a gym in that region, especially considering I'll be brand spanking new? Does anyone know where I could find out that information?

    Hey Brent,

Welcome! I see you are from Tacoma. I graduated from Pacific Lutheran University.

I did some quick research for you. I found this on Monster.com.

    San Francisco:

    Sacramento:

Cost of living in San Francisco will be higher than what you are used to. (Downtown San Francisco is outrageous.) Sacramento cost of living is probably more along the lines of the Seattle/Tacoma area.

I know this isn't exactly what you were looking for but I hope it helps.

    Brent,

Congratulations! I'm sure this is just the start of a great career for you.

I know this may sound really simplistic, but call some of the local gyms you are interested in working for! They'll tell you. Also, you may be able to start building a relationship with a club you decide stands out among the rest, too.

Knowing where you'll go ahead of time can really help you prepare AND ease your mind.
