    Try meeting local physical therapists in your area. Great resource for injury care of clients, referal source to both get and send clients to. Offer 2-3 training sessions to let them see what you do as many are not aware of the work that personal trainers can do.
    good luck

    Default Specific problem-> webpage> targeted advice/tip > client

    Set up your adverts as a solution to a specific problem and send people to a webpage wherethey can get some targeted advice for their specific issue - in the info give one of your best tips - when they try is and get a result this will be better proof than all of the testiomonials you can muster (but have them onthe page too)

    Other than websites, business cards, blogs, signs etc.. Every trainer should be taking before and after pictures of every single client they train.

    The best way to advertise depends on what stage of the game your business is in. No matter what stage of the game you are in, you want to make sure that every piece of advertising that you do is measurable. You want to know what you are spending, and what exactly you are getting in return for that expense. In the beginning you are going to waste some money on advertising. No single thing works for every business in every market. Don't splurge on direct mail campaigns to a huge area. Your message, colors, design might be off and you'll waste a lot of money. Test it on a small audience and when you get a good ROI then kick it up to a wider area.

    The best and most measurable marketing is on the Internet. Be sure that your business is on Google Local Business Center, and that you are utilizing tools such as Facebook Deals to set up a viral customer loyalty program for your business. These tools are free, and easy to set up for yourself.

    If you already have a decent client base then you want to focus on digging in deeper with them. Make them offers to try different boot camps. Get them to sign up for package deals, and make sure that you get them on auto-debit. If you have some clients that have been with you for a bit and seen results, blatantly ask them for referrals. Print out simple $100 gift cards and tell them to give them to a friend of theirs to help you to grow your business. Be creative.

    I'd be happy to provide some more advice, let me know what you've tried, and what your goals are. Good luck!

    "keywords" content="personal trainer brighton, personal training brighton, fitness, samuel pont,"/>
    Hi Sam,

    The SEO on your site is not as good as it could be... that is probably why you hits are so low. just looking at your keywords above... the first two are good, but 'fitness' is too vague. You will be competing with so many with that key word it is a waste for a small enterprise like yours. Also, do you really need your name as a keyword? Try to think about how people will search for your services and have that as a keyword.

    There is alot more to SEo than that, get in touch if you wanna know more. Also might be worth getting in touch with a quality SEO company. iSolutionTank have a great SEO package jsut for fitness professionals. It can make all the difference.

    Default this has worked for me...

    Word of mouth is #1... I make testmonial flyers with a "free class coupon" and ask my students and clients to bring them to work or give them to their friends. ( I am a personal trainer and I teach Kicknoxing/boxing classes at a karate school) It works very well. I am very blessed to have an awesome group of students and they all want to keep my classes going and they want more classes. They know in order for me to have more classes on the schedule that I need more consistant students to sign up., They are more than happy and willing to spread the word!

    Default The environment can dictate your approach

    There is no one great answer to this question. Everyone has given such great suggestions. It really depends on your environment and that doesn't just mean whether your work in the gym or are independent. A lot of it can depend on where you live. For instance, car suggestion in an earlier post is great for a suburban area, if you do a lot of driving from client to client or around town. However, in New York City, where I live there isn't much driving going on as the method of transportation is the subway, bus, bike, or on foot. I am a big advocate that should wear their own logo on their shirts, etc and not somebody else's. I also think some sort of internet presence is necessary, as 9 of 10 people look to the internet for information when researching before making a purchase.

    Take some time to think about who you are looking to reach and what resources you have available to you. No matter what choice of advertising, it is a good idea to create some sort of synergy between all of them so that they can compliment each other in your efforts to give prospects a full picture of your services.

    Hope that helps

    Word of mouth has been the most effective and reliable form of marketing for me. This is usually in the form of existing or past clients or other people who know me and know what I do. The best thing about is (apart from being free) is that a personal recommendation is just that - personal. It's not just another ad on a wall or a newspaper. So, it helps to overcome some of those psychological barriers.
