    Default Getting Started!

    Hello All
I am new to the forum and would love any feedback that you can offer. I a interested in changing careers and becoming a personal trainer. Can anyone advise as to the best way of going about this. Do you find that there is a lot of opportunity in this line of work? I live in eastern PA and would love any information and advice that you can offer.

    Thank you!

Hi Butterfly and welcome! If you're not completely sure about switching careers try working part time at a gym (evenings and weekends). This way you can test the waters before quitting your current job.

Have you thought about which cert you want to get?

    Default Certification Recommendations

    Hey Butterfly,

Choosing a SOLID certification agency is going to be key as more and more skeptics of the industry are telling/warning people to avoid those trainers with "Weekend Course" certifications.

    The Top 3 are
    ACSM
    NSCA
    and
ACE (And ACE is losing it's status daily)

We're here to help if you have any furthe questions!

    All the best,
