Hi Everyone.
I am designing a fitness center/exercise room for a non-profit here in Lawrence county, PA.
They only have $3000 grant money (So far) so obviously I can't go top of the line with equipment.
I am struggling with the group exercise room as it is LONGER than it is WIDE. (Not a square room).
So, are there any specifications on how big the ceiling mounted TV should be for how many square feet the group exercise room is?![]()
The dimensions of the room are 28 Feet LONG X 14 Feet WIDE.
I know they want to have "Chair Exercise" classes and maybe a low-impact class or two. But nothing like Step or Body Pump. (DARN!)
Can anyone help me out?
I probably made a big mistake by doing this project Pro Bono, so please don't refer me to someone who has a product or e-book to sell as I cannot afford it.
Thanks in advance,
Dave

Does anyone have the ACSM Facility Standards and Guidelines book?
I need to know the space that should be alloted per each group exercise participant.
For example. If the room is 28 feet by 13 feet, how many participants max can participate in group exercise. OR how many square feet of space should be between participants.
Googling "Group Exercise Space Constraints" doesn't turn up much useful information, so I'd thought I'd ask on here.
Thanks a million,
Dave
