Default What do you feel are some of the pros and cons of training?

I am curious what other trainers think are the pros and cons of this industry. Even if you're new to training or studying for your certification, what do you anticipate some of them being?

    Pros:
    - Helping people live longer.
    - Helping people have a better quality of life.
    - Helping people gain confidence in their ability to achieve.
    - Wearing ultra casual clothes to work every day! (NO HIGH HEELS!)

    Cons:
    - Clients who put a lot of effort into their workouts but have horrible diets.
    - Trying to convince women that they won't look like Arnold Schwarzenegger if they lift anything heavier than 5 pounds.

Make your own schedule (kind of)
    You're the boss

    Cons:

Clients who have genetic disorders (Thyroid/etc) that make changes happen slow and decrease their motivation

    Pros:
Watching the smiles on peoples faces after they see/feel a difference
Knowing that I CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Hearing others tell me that they are watching the portions they are eating
They want to see me and come back for MORE... Gotta Love It !!

    Cons:
Doing evaluations and seeing that 10:00 is dinnertime for most.
Most want quick results, knowing it takes time
Personal problems come with some and I try to listen, but WE NEED TO EXERCISE

    I love my job

    Pros:

    1. Teaching others how to take care of their bodies.
    2. Seeing people you train perform better at their sport.
    3. Using your own body as a test lab and getting all the benefits of your skills.

    Cons:

You can't help everyone or force them want to take care of their bodies.
