Why Progressive Resistance Works.....
I'm doing a seminar on "Aging, Exercise and Fat Loss" at my exercise center and need a simple, lay persons explanation why my members should use progressive resistance when they train rather than doing 2 sets of 15 or 3 sets of 10.
Here's what I have so far:
Using Progressive Resistance Works for fat loss because it:
Forces muscles to adapt to greater training stress
Greater training stress means more muscle fiber recruitment
The more muscle fiber recruitment, the greater the increase in muscle strength and size
The more muscle size, the more calories burned at rest.
Am I being overly simplistic? What could I add that would convert them to believers?
Thanks

Results. People always want to see statistics, before/after photos, and real people like themselves that have overcome the weight loss monster we all fear. As for your explaination, its fine. Simple is good. Its straight to the point, and thats never a bad thing. God luck with your course.
