    Default powerlifting

i'm looking for a beginning powerlifting program for an individual who has had complete left knee reconstruction, and a left shoulder issue (not very good range of motion). he is 230 lbs 6 foot and with body fat at about 20%.. 20 years old. He wants to compete (bodybuilding) and I am trying to find a decent program for him to start on that is safe while strengthening his knees and shoulders at the same time.

I think your best bet is to get him on the floor... start him off with basic foundation stuff. Push-ups, overhead hand claps.. etc... I think this will help him regain the required range of motion to do some powerlifting. But, its not gonna be a fast start.
