I´ve been reading a bunch of the posts and people have mentioned taking a free practice test online. Following the links that people have posted I haven´t been able to find the test. Can somebody put up a link that works or help me find the free test? thanks.

Hi dgoott and welcome. The link to the free diagnostics test used to be located at the bottom of this page but it looks as if they have taken it down. (?)

Either way, I highly recommend you purchase the practice exam.

thanks for the link, but the list of diagnostic tests does not seem to include one for the CPT. I guess I'll just buy the practice test, no big deal.

I bought the online practice test, and while I thought it was useful as a prepartion aid, be aware that it is not very representative of the actual exam. I guess what I'm saying is that I feel it is good to get and go through as it may illuminate some areas that you're weak in, and you might even learn from some of the answers -- BUT ... -- if you score really well on the practice test, don't let that make you too over-confident. I think I scored like an 86% on it when I had only read 50% of the text at the time. To me that says the test isn't a real good indicator of the real test.

Does anyone have the electronic format of the practice exams? I am interested in buying if someone can e-mail me those. I can pay with paypal beforehand. Let me know.

There is no "electronic format" -- they are only available as "online" tools. You can however take the exam as often as you like. I don't know if it ever expires or not, but after a few takings, I'd guess it would start losing its value anyway.

Oh, I see. Is it worth the 50 bucks though, you think?
