This is totally true. However, in some situations, the amount of probiotics in food is not enough to provide a therapeutic dose. When trainers work with a client who appears to need more help with their GI issues than what products on the shelf are offering, it would be a great tactic for the trainer to find a dietitian to refer the client to. She/he could then recommend some products that the client could try. OR, sometimes it's a food-related issue that the dietitian is uniquely skilled at helping the client discover to help resolve problems.
