Hi everyone. I just recently rec'd my Cert 4 in the past few weeks (not sure what the equivilent qualification is called for everyone else).
I also completed my Cert 3 towards the end of last year and began teaching a few freestyle classes but until now I have never written a 1st program for a new client, all I have done is reception/sales and cycle classes. But now that I am fully qualified I started my first PT shift this morning Smile Exciting and really scary all at once.. I had 2 client's in my small 3 hour shift. My first was a PT client and my 2nd was just a program review and remeasure etc..

My PT session felt like it went well.. I did a 5min warup on the crosstrainer with him. We did Smith Chest Press supersetted with Bent over Row then did dumbell shoulder presses followed by barbell bicep curls. I was going to do legs but we were running out of time so I did a hover and fitball crunch superset to finish off.
Does this sound ok??

the worst part about studying PT is that you get overloaded with so much theory that we didn't have any practical so basically i'm just going in head first..!!

I have an older lady client on Saturday who is going to do a body pump class after our PT session so I will do cardio with her. Does anyone have any good 30 mins cardio sessions for older people (I think she is 55 - 60 and I don't know much about her history because I have just been thrown into this without being able to interview the client's beforehand.!) I have seen her around and she seems fairly active.

thanks for reading..!!

I'd definatley find out more as regards to the older clients history before starting with her- many of my older clients have joint problems or hypertension and you'll have to shedule your workout accordingly good luck Smile
