    Default My Web Lady

I actually found a great web designer who is a counselor. She really integrates in the psychology of marketing into the website design. We are currently in Phase 2 and she is waiting on me (boo) to get some client pictures and testimonials to her ;0) Uncover the Body you are Meant to Have - Home

    Cool Some sound advice ;-)

    Hey,

As a professional copywriter who runs a marketing / advertising company, I have some very important tips if you plan to outsource your website!

(Also - about 85% of our clients have been personal trainers / boot camps... so these tips come from in-the-trenches experience...)

    1. Make sure whoever you outsource to knows how to drive people to take action...

It's nice to have a website that's "cool"... but I'm sure you'd agree it's even nicer to have one that makes you a lot of money

Make sure whoever you hire knows how to make you money. That's the point of your website. Nothing more, nothing less. It's supposed to bring in clients. If it doesn't, what was the point of paying for it?

So make sure they know how to drive sales!!!

    2. Make sure they have a "true" understanding of graphic design...

Contrary to popular belief, graphic design is NOT the art of making things look "pretty" or "cool." While good graphic design does that - the main focus of graphic design is to get people to take action! Whether you want someone to call you, order on your website, or fill out a contact form...

... good graphic design should create an environment that makes people want to do that.

It makes people instantly feel like you're professional and trustworthy. Also - it appeals to your TARGET MARKET. Sometimes, this means it DOESN'T appeal to you. But that's okay! It takes bravery to set aside your ego, but if you can, and if you let the designer create something for your target market, you'll be happy with the extra boost in income.

In my signature is my website, and on my website is a contact form. If you have any questions, please feel free to write and ask!

My partner and I love helping people reach higher and higher levels of success - so we'd be more than happy to answer your questions!

Hope you got a lot - or at least a little - out of this

    Best,
    David Tendrich

You can create websites for free using weebly. I am currently working on one myself using this service.
I have heard of Weebly before, even used it a few times. Its good for a short term site, but I wouldn't use it as your site forever.

I recommend using a self-hosted wordpress blog. That way you can use your own domain name and the best part about Wordpress is 1. search engines love them 2. plugins make it easy to customize your site without the knowledge of coding and 3. You can make your site look totally custom with themes that are cheap or sometimes free. If you are looking for some good themes check out ithemes.com or woothemes.com

I did mine myself, still working on it. Very simple, easy on the eyes, user friendly.
