    Default Finding Clients via Internet

I've seen these websites where trainers and potential clients make profiles and can search for each other. Like a facebook/craigslist designed for personal training.

I'm wondering if anyone has seen any success with this type of marketing? What are your thoughts on it?

I just feel like the site would get over populated with trainers and clients aren't as apt to go there looking.

you're absolutely right! these sites are saturated with personal trainers, and id call them phony trainers. I've seen quite a few, and they give real trainers a bad name. Anyways, i've gotten 2 clients via the internet in about 6 months. One woman who stayed on board for about 4 months. Another gentleman who only came for the free training session. My success has been word of mouth. I think that a facebook group is a good marketing tool though.

    Best of luck,

Default Those listing will help your websites page rank

If you have a website which you should. Sign up for every free listing and directory you can find. This is going to put more backlinks to your website which improved the page rank on the majore search engines.

I use getlisted9dot)org and made sure that my listing is 100% on there and on every site it recommends. You will see what I am talking about once you visit the site and start signing up you business. These free sites are sending me tons of traffic every single month.

Another couple things to ad is that you want to have all of your meta tags set up properly on your website.
    your title tag
    description tag
and keyword tag need all of these tags should state the main keyword with the most traffic potential that you are targeting.

You can use google keyword tool to find out how many people are searching for a keyword every month.
For the purpose of this forum the obvious main keyword is going to be personal trainer.

But to make it better you want to put 'your city name' personal trainer as the first keyword of each tag.
Then something like your city fitness trainer. just do the research.
It will also help if your domain name includes the keyword.

So for example if you have Chicago Personal Trainer
you want to use a domain name with that in it. The domain name should be .com .org or .net
you can use these (-----) in your name. like Chicago-personal-trainer(dot)com

And on the first line of content on the page you should focus on your main keywords for the copywrite in your website.

Now that the site is set up make sure it has tracking using google analytics code so you can see exactly how much traffic is coming to your site and where it is coming from exactly.

The local listing on getlisted(dot)org also have tracking so you can see everything down to the minute detail.

Anyways I don't want to go on for too longs. The directory listing are great, even if you never find one client from the sites, it is going to improve the page rank of your website which put you higher in the main search engines, and eventaully results in more traffic to you site.

Now what you do with that traffic is also important.
I am a marketing guy for a personal trainer friend of mine.
Since I started with him we got 12 return clients using email marketing through constant contact.

And 3 new clients since october using the internet. And as I am able to encourage my client and have earned his trust, he is now letting me show him what to do with that traffic that he is getting to his website.

Setting up your website for success by creating a marketing funnel.
People like to use lots of different avenues that you can contact them. Twitter, Facebook, Email, Text Messaging, etc. Making sure that your website is set up in a way to have people sign up for one of those points of contact is vital, and offering them something of value some incentive to sign up. Like free day of bootcamp, free fitness ebooks and healthy ebooks, fat loss, whatever. Giving them a reason to sign up for a point of contact is going to enter them into your marketing funnel.

Then you can keep in touch with them, build trust, offer value, and show that you care.

That way when they are ready to sign up for personal training you will be on there mind.

    Hope this helps,

would love to answer questions and give some free advice.
