Default Anyone ever use this to create a fitness website?

I am trying to find an easy way to create a simple website. I came across this site but am wondering if anyone has ever used it. Also is there any catch, it seems to be free.

    The site is www.fitpronetwork.com

Your feedback or other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thx, JAB

    Hi JAB

I can t say I have used fitpronetwork but they look like another company called http://CityMax.com

They offer a free trial too but once that is up you must pay a monthly fee to keep your website online. The monthly cost is usually small.

They are good services to get you a website online if you dont know much about domains and hosting but they are very limited websites.

    They are not SEO optimizable,
They are not search engine friendly,
They are very restricted in their layout and design,

All this makes them easy to use for a first timer but are not very conducive to growing your business and getting more clients.

If you want to get online fast, and have a simple online pressence then they are the cheapest option but if you want your website to be part of your business plan and help grow and become part of your business then you need to look elsewhere.

    My 2 cents.

P.S. also have you considered starting a blog website?

I used Site Built It.com, but it's not geared to fitness professionals, but has a lot of bells and whistles.

You may want to contact Allen Hill. He used to post here and helped me get my site started with SBI.

Wow - a lot of ideas here -

IMO, the best way to go is find a quality wordpress theme, and then order a header for it - wordpress will allow you to insert text, images, and video until you're happy, so all you need to do is get a professionally designed header and you'll be set - this is essentially what I've done with my website:

Default There is an even better way!

Some good ideas to creating a quick website above... I'm going to wade in with another way, which I've been using for almost a year now.

The online fitness training website PocketPT.co.uk has worked out a way to 'peacefully coexist' with Personal Trainers; and come up with the following interesting solution: You can join their network of Personal Trainers, which gives you a personal profile page on their site. The profile page is just the start though, because their whole site works with you to help you run your business...

Key example is: even in my short time as a trainer, I've quickly learned one of the biggest issues for potential clients I approach is cost: "I'd love to have a PT, but I just couldn't afford it.". I hear it a lot. With PocketPT I'm now able to say "That's okay, but if you like I can still train you for much less, via the PocketPT online trainer, and if you ever want a face-to-face session just ask me through the site". I've found its pretty successful so far, clients experience is good as they get videos for all the exercises you set for them AND most importantly, you get to stay in touch with them - I've got a fair number of extra sessions out of keeping in touch with clients this way.

As for cost; PocketPT charged me for initial setup and unlimited use of the site etc, but theres no ongoing fees, its a 50/50 rev. share of anyones subscription you bring on board to the site. So I've been earning just by updating peoples programmes and giving advice online. I guess an IT solution isn't for all trainers; but this is what I found when I was researching a website for myself; and its been a neat solution that has more than paid for itself.
