    Default Summer Marketing Piece Question

    Hey Gang,

I'm putting an ad in a supplemental magazine that is being distributed with the local newspaper next week. With the ad I direct people to my website to download a "6 week Body Blast" workout for free to get them in better shape by summer.

Now, I've used pictures from various websites that demonstrate the exercises and was wondering if you think I should take pictures of myself doing the exercises instead.

While I'm no bodybuilder, I have read that pictures of in-shape people doing exercises is a turn-off. Do you think using myself as a model would alienate or intimidate potential clients?

    Your thoughts?

    Hey Dave,

Like you, I am torn. I asked my husband his opinion (he is not a personal trainer) and he said YOU should be in the photos but make sure you are wearing every day workout clothes (nothing that flaunts your physique which could be a turnoff). I tend to agree with him.

    Just my 2 cents.

    Thanks Christina,

I took you and your husbands advice and posed for the pictures myself. And I'm sending them to your yahoo mail account. It's a pretty big file, so sorry if you have dial up! LOL

I also attached the smaller PDF. I didn't realize how big the word file was until after I pressed send! LOL ops:

Let me know what you think.

Hey Dave! No problem! I haven't had dialup since the late 90s. I will let you know when the files come through. My friend sent me something the other day that didn't show up for hours!

I am sitting here researching personal training studios. John and I are leaving for Texas on Monday. I think I am going to go for it and open a studio! I have everything I need so it isn't THAT big of a risk. (Famous last words, right?) I've also toyed with the idea of skipping the whole studio route and buying one of those Scions and pimpin' it out 8). I think in-home training would go over well there. We'll see.

Isn't it a gorgeous day? I hope the weather is nice up there in PA.
