It's a great way to build your Sphere Of Influence (SOI) not only with fellow personal trainers, but with the clients you train as well as other peers.
It may help with getting new clients, finding a job, and/or finding an employee.

Thats a great idea. Social networks of any kind can be a valuable resource in building your brand and making a name for yourself. It's just such a simple and effective way to get lots of exposure quickly.
I have been looking for local forums that people in my area post on. I've gotten some good leads from these forums. Check your local newspaper websites, see if they have blogs or forums where you can comment and talk with other people in your area.
