    Default Gripe of the day.

When another professional (dietitian, personal trainer, doctor) sends you a client have the courtesy to send them a thank you card or the very least an acknowledgment of some sort such as a phone call or email. If you want to be a real class act send them a gift card or some small trinket.

People seem to have lost their manners.

    Gripe over.

    I second that gripe!

Oh, Christina -- where have all the people with the good manners gone? Some people, I have found, just aren't gracious -- they're too busy thinking about themselves.

But when you do find people who are appreciative and do the right thing -- it makes it all worth it, right?

    Another gripe...

Returning phone calls in a timely manner: If you own a personal training business there is no excuse why you shouldn't return phone calls or reply to emails in a matter of a few hours. (Unless of course you are not hungry for business.) Most of us have cell phones and most of us have access to our email accounts through our cell phones. I just don't get it. I sent a client to a wellness professional yesterday and I sent this person both a text and email giving them a heads up that my client would be contacting them. What did I get back? Not a thank you, not a "I'll be on the lookout"... not a peep!

I have to (make that want to) believe that this kind of behavior will catch up to them. Karma, people! I certainly don't understand it, especially if it's a potential piece of business.

Hopefully, the wellness professional at least got in touch with your client. If not, then you'd really know they're not interested in the business!

No kidding. I just don't get this. I often look around and wonder how certain people are even able to stay in business with such horrible business practices!

How about when you show up on time for an appointment and the client is always late...
