Here's a good one too:

Click on "training programs" on the left and it gives several training schedules for novice, intermediate, and advanced runners.

The website www.Runnersworld.com has tips , newsletters and also places to race if anyone is interested. They also have a workout section, whether you want hill racing or strength and cross-training.
So turn on that ipod, tie your shoes and go!

Hello Gang,
Does anyone know whether there has been any scientific evidence that drinking ICE COLD water or warmer water after a 10k is better or worse for you?
The company I have my fitness center in donates bottled water to the "Great Race" in pittsburgh and was wondering if keeping it cold (because that is expensive) is recommended rather than keeping it tepid?
I didn't think there was a health issue either way but am not certain.
does any one know or can anyone point me to a resource?
Thanks,
Dave
