Default So I'm working on my website for my pt business...

I'm having the hardest time writing about myself/my services. Does anyone else have this problem? I can go on all day about someone else but when it comes to selling myself I'm horrible! I don't know how some people can write so much about themselves! Anyone else have this problem? Don't get me wrong, I know I'm qualified but it still isn't easy.

    Hey Christina,

Remember, you aren't selling YOU per se, you are selling what YOU can DO for the Person reading your website. Focus on the BENEFITS, not the FEATURES of what you can deliver to your client.

As you write your copy, make sure you are reading it through your potential clients eyes. and what do they want to know? "WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME".

What is hiring you going to do for them?

    Does that make sense?

    Hope it helped.

Also leaf through that Christmas present I sent you. You might find some help there. *WINK*

    Good Luck.

Thanks Dave! You're right -- it will be much easier if I focus on the benfits. I'll work on it some more and then I'll have you take a look!

I haven't worked much more on copy for my site but I am thinking about taking this approach. I am going to research articles similar to this one and design my site around it. http://www.webmd.com/content/article/67/80092.htm

If anyone else comes across similar articles please post them!
