    Ever since I became certified as a personal trainer, I've been wondering about our roles as educators. Our clients look to us, not only for knowledge and expertise on their exercise program, but when they have questions or a new issue arises for them (medically or otherwise). Of course, it's not within our scope to diagnose their ailment(s) or be prescriptive with anything other than their physical activity. However, we need to be knowledgeable and keep up-to-date on the latest news and trends. ...

    The alarm clock goes off. You slug your way out of bed, still half asleep. You glance back at the bed one last time and wish that the warm embrace of the covers was an option, but it's not. I have been working with my clients in the comfort of their own homes for a while and I've grown comfortable around them as I hope they've done the same with me.
