Preparing for CSCS
Hello everyone,
I am new to this forum and I need some advice from you.
First I want to give you a bit of a background about myself.
I was a track&field athlete for about 11 years, have a bachelor degree in exercise science, I have been working as a PT for about 6 years now and I would like to start training sport professionals(triathlon, tennis etc..)
Need some advice regarding the CSCS certification with NSCA.
Would like to know if the study material they are selling online for CSCS certification is enough to pass the exam or if I should focus on studying some other materials in particular!!!
What should I focus on studying in the first place?
How long should I study for before I sit for the exam?
Any reply on these is highly appreciated.
Once again I do not live in the USA, and i am not familiar at all with the way exams are structured or if there is an emphasis on a particular area for this exam( anatomy, physiology, etc...)
Thank you

Worth it...
I just got the materials two days ago and just by looking through them, you definatly want them! I was able to get the multimedia symposium, exercise techniques book, all three practice exams with DVD, and the exam outline for $175 on ebay. I have the textbook on the way for another $30.
The study materials seem to be much more useful and study friendly than the materials for the ACSM PT, which I also have. I would definatly say they are worth it, probably even necessary!
As far as how much time you need, the exam outline will help you figure that out. It gives you a great breakdown of how the exam is set up and walks you through a self evaluation so you can identify your strengths and weaknesses.
