    Default ACSM-cpt exam preperation

I will take the ACSM-cpt here in a few months. I have read and took many notes from the resource for the pt 3rd edition book. Read it a few times in fact. referenced the guidelines for exercise testing and prescription several times. I saw some tips that looked pretty old so I was wondering if there are any updated tips as far as what I should really study that is not covered much in the acsm text. Such as spotting. Of course I think I know what I should but I would prefer to know where to specifically study techniques that the testing covers. Also should I do the 3 day workshop and buy the practice tests? Which pratice tests will I buy? Obvioulsy I want to go into this testing as prepped as possible? Any other advice? What other certs should I pursue? I do not have a degree, wish I did. Thanks so much for any help.

Lately, I have started reading the Nutrition section but I mistakenly bought ACSM's Resource Manual for Guidelines for Exercise Testing and Prescription, Sixth Edition instead of ACSM's Guidelines for Exercise Testing and Prescription Eighth Edition. If I would like to return it then shipping will just kill me (I live in Karachi) so can I still work my way through without ACSM's Guidelines for Exercise Testing and Prescription Eighth Edition. Please advise! Thanks, Amin G.
