Hello All,

I attempted to search the forums, but keep on getting a "database error message" () so decided to post. I apologize if this has been covered previously.

In the 8th ed of ACSM's Guidelines for Ex. Test and Rx there are equations presented in Chap 7 for methods forRx-ing exercise intensity (i.e. HRR method, VO2R method, Peak HR method, etc.); do these need to be memorized or are they provided like the other metabolic equations (like the ones for walking, cycling, and stepping)?

Also, the KSA's is an extensive list...when preparing for the exam how did you conquer becoming familiar with all of them or tackle "testing" yourself on knowing all of them. I have read that it is good to know the KSA's, but it seems pretty overwhelming to know all of them (from the appendix in the ACSM's Guidelines for Ex Test and Rx, correct?).

I have the Cert Rev book, but don't know if that is enough.

Thank you for any and all input you can lend.

S
