How much $ I'm brand new at this. Retired RN - 57 yr young.
Work part time in a gym.
I would like to get certified in ACSM.
Want to help people train who have medical issues, primarily baby boomer women with fibromyalgia.
How much money should I set aside for my goal?
Will the 3 textbooks, practice exam and a workshop be enough?
How much time?
Then the cost of the test. Is it online?
Been looking on ACSM website, but kinda getting overwhelmed.
Before I dive in want to make a game plan.

3 textbook cost- approx $120
I recommend you not to buy practice test because all the same questions you can find in certification review book . Just complete all the test unless you score more than 90%.
be the member of ACSM- 90$ (u r not student )
once u member cost of d test- $219
make plan for everyday, study at least 3 hrs a day, you need 3 months minimum.
workshop is optional and i dont recommend you to take because not every workshop is taught by ACSM pros.
You just need to study by urself and revise certification review practice test at least 3 times.
You should score at least 90% in all test.
Below are the other practice question cheap but very helpful -
1- myitguides.com has 135 practice ACSM question with test links only in $15
2- Starting-a-personal-buisness.com has 750 practice question (they combine all exams questions)only in $32
So total cost will be around- $ 580 ( $550 basic + $50 )
You dont need more than that.
