    Default "provisional" status

So, I passed the HFS exam today. I even have a job lined up. The trouble is: what does this "provisional credential" mean, exactly? Am I currently certified? Am I not until something else happens? Is there a way to be able to prove I am certified before 6-8 weeks, which is how long the printout says it'll take to get in the mail? I'm sorry, but I paid almost $300 for the exam. Up to an 8 week wait to work is ludicrous.

    Thanks in advance.

I know what you mean! I don't know why it takes so long. If anyone has an answer please let us know. In the meantime, do you have the printout from the testing center showing that you passed the exam? Maybe this will do until you get the official certificate. By the way, unless your employer is asking for it, no one else ever will!
