Default ACSM certified health fitness specialist question

i'm looking into becoming a personal trainer and am deciding which certification route to take.

i'm leaning toward the certified health fitness specialist b/c it seems to give you more career options and seems more involved in general.

my only concern whether my college degree makes me eligible to apply.
I majored in psychology and neuroscience. my neuroscience major was basically a biology major with a sprinkling and neuroscience/neuropsych courses thrown in. while it has been a few years since i've been in school, i'd really like my efforts there to count for something. so if anyone knows whether my double major would qualify me to apply for the aforementioned certification, please let me know.

    thanks!

James, I think you're okay because of all of the science courses. Just email the ACSM and tell them what you are thinking about doing and they will tell you if your background qualifies you to sit for the exam. It may take a few days to get back to you but they always reply.
